Valentine’s on a Budget!! Part One

Happy Monday y’all!!! If anyone is like me and is still recovering from their last Santa visit and just realized Valentine’s is less than two weeks away...WELCOME TO THE CLUB! I’m a super geeked to bring you Valentines in a Budget series.

A lot of us, including myself at times, think of holidays such as Valentine’s Day and want to go aaaaallllll out, but that is not true. Valentine’s is not about fancy dresses and expensive gifts. In this blog I will show you how you can S L A Y without breaking the bank in three simple ways.

1. Wear what you already have

I can guarantee that I usually have something I can wear in my closet for almost every occasion, but I CHOOSE to buy new stuff every time I go out! You can easily shop your own closet for anything simple (all black is a great option) and simply buy jewelry to jazz it up a bit.

2. Less is more

Sometimes it ok to buy less expensive items and dress them up with cute shoes you may already own or add some fishnet tights, usually under ten bucks, for a sexier look. See the attached pictures with looks from Forever 21 under $15.

3. Date night in!!

Who said you can’t stay home and wear your PJs

My boyfriend and I have date night in all the time (mainly because of the cold weather) but it saves us tons of money and I never have to buy a new outfit! Think of fun things you can do at home and save the money for a fun summer getaway.

I hope these 3 simple tasks will motivate you to either save extra money or give you the idea that you don’t have to be rich to SLAY Valentine’s Day!
