Spring Shoe Trends: Sporty Styles

Hey everyone, welcome back to my Spring Shoe Trends blog series, today I am blogging about the first of three shoe trends: SPORTY SHOE STYLES!!!!

I love everything about this trend- as do I for most of the trends this year- it is comfortable, cute, affordable and has a little bit of a edgy flair, depending on what you are wearing along with these shoes. This year's style trends are reminiscent of 90's street wear and that has definitely shined through to the shoe game this year...yessss 90's baby here. A few "sporty" brands that are trending are VANS, Converse, Fila has made a comeback, and of course Nike's and Adidas are always popular.

One thing I love about the sporty shoe trend is that it is comfortable and can be worn with just about anything. Vans( a skateboard shoe company) makes really cute slip on shoes. I actually bought two pair last weekend for under $100 from DSW! I plan on wearing them with T-shirt dresses this summer...how cute! Vans also on their website allows you to design your own pair, which could match anything in your wardrobe!

Classic Converse aka Chucks aka Chuck Taylors are always in style, so I guess it is not really a trend, but they are definitely taking the cake this spring and yes they go with EVERYTHING from shorts, dresses, rompers, capris, active wear and even dress pants. I truly think I own every basic color Chucks' and I even have gold, silver and cheetah print pairs and I wear them consistently with any and everything.

Nikes and Adidas are always popular, although they are more athletic looking than the previous few brands, but the looks can still be pulled off with less girly outfits.
